To begin a career as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer it is important that you complete an accredited Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer qualification by completing our Fitness Instructor courses and Personal Trainer courses. All of our qualifications are internationally recognised and endorsed by Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) and gain you entry straight onto the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
The first step to starting your career as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer is to complete a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification. When completing this course you have the option to specialise in either GYM, Exercise to Music (ETM) or Water Based Exercise (WBE). After completion of the Level 2 Fitness Instructor courses you can gain employment in a variety of settings including gyms, leisure centres, sports clubs and at holiday venues including cruise ships across the world. You may also decide to continue with your studies and become a Personal Trainer.
To become a qualified Personal Trainer you must complete the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. You will complete a variety of units on this course covering the core elements of being a Personal Trainer as well as sections focussed on advanced prescription & training techniques.
Delivery methods:
You can complete our courses via our online learning system, allowing you to study when and where you like at your own pace or through our intensive delivery method, where you will attend training days for a block of time ranging from 5 days to 4 weeks.
Throughout your time with us, you will receive unrivalled levels of support to ensure you are successful at completing your chosen course. All of our students are allocated a personal tutor that will answer any question you may have, access to telephone and email support, the opportunity to take part in online interactive classrooms led by an experienced tutor and support in gaining employment once qualified.
