How our fitness training courses work

All of our fitness courses are offered in two different formats: online and intensive, both with all the support you need to succeed. Each format is described below.

Online training

This is our most flexible method of study as it allows you to study at your own pace and you can attend training and assessment days when you feel ready. After enrolling onto your course you will be given immediate access to our online learning system through a username and password system. Your course has been broken down into small modules that you need to complete. To complete a module you will be required to read text, listen to audio and watch videos and 3-dimensional graphics. At the end of each module you will be required to complete a revision worksheet. After successfully completing the revision worksheet the next module will become available. After you have completed all of the modules you will be able to book in for your training and/or assessment days on a date and at a venue that suits you. You should set yourself a target date to complete your training days so that you have something to work towards.

While studying online you will have a variety of support options. You have access to both telephone and email tutor support that can be used anytime you have a query. You will also have the opportunity to book in to and complete online virtual classes – all led by one of our tutors. It is exactly the same as being in a classroom except you don’t have to leave your home or workplace.

Intensive training

This method of study means that you are working to a deadline. When you enrol onto an intensive course, you will be required to select the training and assessment days that you wish to attend. You are then required to complete the pre-course material before the first training day to give yourself the best chance of passing the course. As soon as you enrol onto your course, you will be given your pre-course reading material. You will receive this either as a pack in the mail or you will be given a username and password to access online material. This is the material you will need to read through and complete the necessary revision tasks before the courses starts. You will then attend the course for the advertised days where the primary focus will be on the practical elements. You will complete your assessments on the designated assessment day.

With your pre-course reading material you will be given details of a tutor that you will be able to contact at any time to answer any questions you may have.
