To be truly professional with your approach to fitness and the training of your clients, you must have the ability to deal with accidents and injuries within the health and fitness environment. This may be inside your gym or outside in a park or in a clients home or office. Your clients, and the members of the health clubs you work in, will expect you to be able to deal with situations that require medical assistance quickly and with confidence.
This is the first Fitness Specific First Aid course in the UK and we have made sure that the contents of the course match the needs of the health and fitness industry. Our aim is to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to administer first aid when required. This one day course has been accredited with REPs and awarded 8 CPD points.
All National Governing Bodies of sport and exercise require that teams, clubs, organisers and venues have made arrangements for the provision of first aid in fulfilment of the Duty of Care owed to athletes, members, spectators and others. This course offers the minimum level of statutory first aid training for Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors and Sports Coaches who could be called on to deal with injury or illness in the fitness or sport environment. The certificate is accepted by all sport and exercise governing bodies for Public Liability insurance purposes.
On completion of this course you will receive the nationally recognised ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ certificate which is HSE accredited and valid for 3 years. You will also earn 8 CPD points recognised by REPs.
