This course is aimed at individuals who want to move into the strength and conditioning field and possibly work with either an individual or group of athletes. It will also develop skills to enable instructors to incorporate skill rehearsal drills and sport specific activities into training sessions.
You will learn:
You must hold a current qualification (within 3 years) in either Level 2 Fitness Instructor - Gym or Level 2 Fitness Instructor - Exercise to Music. Candidates may also be considered if their qualification is not current but they can prove ongoing industry experience.
You will be required to attend 2 training days. These training days will re-cap on the pre-course reading material you have covered and will focus heavily on the practical elements of the course. Each day will combine theory and practical elements and throughout the 2 days you will receive valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment.
You will be required to design a sports specific training programme for a client. You will need to submit the plan to your personal tutor who will mark it and ask you a series of questions based on the content of the plan and the topics covered on the training days.
