Completion of this CYQ qualification will enable you to teach Pilates Matwork either in a group situation or one-to-one. Successful completion of this course will gain you entry at level 3 onto the Register of Exercise Professionals; REPs. It is also relevant for those already running such sessions without a formal qualification.
This course requires 12 days attendance in total and is separated into two stages. Stage I = 5 Days & Stage II = 7 Days. If you already have the existing OCR level II award, you will only need to attend the Stage II days (a further 7 days in total), to meet the CYQ level III requirements.
The CYQ Level 3 course in Pilates is compiled of 4 units:
A full manual, anatomy & physiology exercise text book and all of the portfolio documentation will be provided to you. All you need to bring along to the training days is comfortable clothing, pen and paper.
No formal entry requirements, although it is expected that you have a basic level of knowledge and experience of practicing pilates.

This course is run in collaboration with Pilates Training Solutions.
You will be required to complete a variety of activities to gain this qualification. All of the assessment requirements will be clearly explained to you throughout the course by your tutors.
After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 3 Instructor with REPs.
By the end of your training with our partner Pilates Training Solutions, you will have knowledge of how to teach matwork Pilates in either a group or one to one situation.
Pilates is becoming very popular and Freelance Pilates instructors can enjoy the freedom of choosing the hours and venues that they work. You may decide to set up your own studio or rent your own space to run your own classes or you may decide to work on a one to one basis with clients with a Personal Training approach.
As a Level 3 Instructor you will be required to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points to stay registered as a Level 3 Instructor with REPs. You will be able to complete any our CPD workshops, attend any of our CPD seminars or view any of our CPD webinars to earn your points. Pilates Training Solutions also have a range of specific Yoga related CPD courses.
