			      <p>This course is aimed at individuals over the age of 16 who wish to become Gym Instructors.</p>
<p>You will learn:</p>
<ul>
<li>Exercise and fitness knowledge covering bones and joints, muscles and muscle actions, cardio respiratory systems, components of fitness and the principles of training</li>
<li>The bodies systems and there response to exercise</li>
<li>How to plan and teach safe and effective exercise sessions</li>
<li>The principles of training</li>
<li>How to adapt exercise to suit varied fitness levels</li>
<li>To use a range of teaching skills</li>
</ul>
<p>To obtain the CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Gym,&nbsp;you must successfully complete the following units:</p>
<ul>
<li>Unit 1 - Exercise and Fitness Knowledge</li>
<li>Unit 2 - Health, Safety &amp; Professionalism in Exercise and Fitness Instruction</li>
<li>Unit 3 - Instructing Gym Based Exercise</li>
</ul>
<h4>Prerequisites</h4>
<p>You must be over 16 years of age.</p>	
			  
			  			  		      <h3>Course schedule</h3>
		      
			      <h4>Online<span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 10px;">&nbsp;</span></h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 2 training days after you have completed the online material. These training days will re-cap on all of the theory you have learnt while studying on-line and provide you with an opportunity to put your practical skills into action. Your tutor will also give you valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment.</p>
<h4>Intensive</h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 5 training days before your assessment day. These training days will re-cap on the pre-course reading material you have covered and will focus heavily on the practical elements of the course. Each day will combine theory and practical elements and throughout the 5 days you will receive valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment.</p>
<h4>Assessment</h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 1 assessment day to complete this course. On your assessment day you will sit a multiple choice theory exam in the morning and then you will take your practical assessment. You will need to submit a portfolio of evidence to support your practical assessment. Your tutor will help you prepare this on your training day.</p>	
			  
			  			  		      <h3>Progression &amp; Employment</h3>  
		      
				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 2 Fitness Instructor with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You can begin working within the industry as a Fitness Instructor. You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres. A full time fitness instructor can expect to earn between &pound;12,000 - &pound;18,000 per year.</p>
<h4>Option 2:</h4>
<p>You can progress onto the <a href="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-certificate-in-personal-training/" title="Read more about the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training course">Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training course</a>. This course consists of 5 modules. The modules are;</p>

Personal Trainers earn in excess of &pound;30,000 per year with some trainers charging over &pound;100 per hour for their services.</p>

<p>We recommend that you complete this qualification at the same time as the&nbsp;<a href=http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-training-in-different-environments" title="Read about our Level 3 Training in Different Environments course">Level 3 Training in Different Environments</a>&nbsp;qualification. We run the training days for both qualifications in conjunction with&nbsp;each other.</p>
<h4>Assessment</h4>
<p>You will need to attend 1 assessment day. You will sit a multiple choice theory paper in the morning and then take your practical assessment. The practical assessment is based on advanced training techniques. On your assessment day you will need to submit a 12 week progressive programme of exercise for a client to support your practical assessment. Your tutor will help you prepare this on your training days.</p>	
			  
			  			  		      <h3>Progression &amp; Employment</h3>  
		      
				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You can begin working within the industry as an Advanced Fitness Instructor.  You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres. A full time fitness instructor can expect to earn between &pound;12,000 - &pound;18,000 per year. You will have the skills to design and carry out advanced training programs and you may start to carry out one to one training sessions with selected clients. You may also start charging clients for designing them periodised training programs.</p>
<h4>Option 2:</h4>

				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 3 Fitness Instructor with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You can begin working within the industry as an Instructor with a speciality in conducting health and fitness testing.  You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres. A full time fitness instructor can expect to earn between &pound;12 000 - &pound;18 000 per year. You will have the skills to carry out a variety of health and fitness tests and convey the results to your clients. You will then be able to use the information from these tests to deign appropriate programs for the client to follow. You may also start carrying out testing on groups of people that you go out and visit. These groups could include local sporting teams that want the players tested at various points throughout the year.</p>
<h4>Option 2:</h4>

<p>You will need to attend 1 assessment day. You will sit a multiple choice theory paper as part of the assessment for this qualification. You also need to complete a nutritional case study on a client of your choice. You will need to submit this case study on the day you sit your exam. You will be provided with a guidance pack to help you complete the nutritional case study.</p>

				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 3 Fitness Instructor with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You can begin working within the industry as an Instructor with a speciality in providing nutritional advice. You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres. A full time fitness instructor can expect to earn between &pound;12,000 - &pound;18,000 per year. You will have the skills to carry out a nutritional analysis on a client and then provide advice on how they can improve their diet and/or manage their weight.  You will then be able to use the information from the nutritional analysis to design an appropriate program to help the client reach their goals. You may also start carrying out nutritional analysis for people that aren&rsquo;t regular gym users and you may also work with groups that are interested in being given basic nutritional advice such as local sporting teams.</p>

<p>You will be required to attend 2 training days before your assessment day. These training days will re-cap on the pre-course reading material you have covered and will focus heavily on the practical elements of the course. Each day will combine theory and practical elements and throughout the 2 days you will receive valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment. We recommend that you complete this qualification at the same time as the&nbsp;<a href=http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-advanced-fitness-instructing-gym/" title="Read more about our Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor course">Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructing - Gym</a>&nbsp;qualification. <p>You will need to design a programme of exercise for a client training away from the usual gym environment, using walking as the main component and at least 3 pieces of small portable equipment. You will then be assessed on your practical skills taking a client through your programme. This will occur in the afternoon of your second training day. Your tutor will help you prepare the programme for your assessment.</p>

<p>As soon as you enrol for this course you will be able to access our online learning environment. After you have completed this, you will then work your way through the&nbsp;5 Level 3 qualifications that make up the full award.&nbsp;We have structured the course so that you will complete each qualification one at a time. This will allow you to build on your knowledge as you start each new course. Your tutor will guide and support you through this entire process. You can work your way through this qualification as quickly as you like,&nbsp;with the majority of our students taking between 3 - 9 months to become fully qualified.</p>
<p>Once you have completed certain blocks of the online material you&nbsp;will be required to attend a variety of training days. These training days will re-cap on all of the theory you have learnt while studying on-line and provide you with an opportunity to put your practical skills into action. Your tutor will also give you valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessments that will take place througout the course.&nbsp;</p>
<h4 style="font-size: 1em;">Intensive</h4>
<p>We now offer the full Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification in a 4 week intensive format. During the 4 weeks you will complete&nbsp;all five of the Level 3 qualifications that make up the Personal Trainer award. You will attend one of our training venues on a full time basis for the 4 weeks.</p>
<p>This new 4 week full time course is ideal for&nbsp;<a href=http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/fitness-instructor/" title="Read more about our Level 2 Fitness Instructor courses">Level 2 Fitness Instructors</a>&nbsp;who want to gain the qualification within a short period of time.&nbsp;Our intensive courses are limited to 12 students to ensure the highest quality of teaching. If you dont already hold a Level 2 qualification, then you will need to complete this prior to enrolling onto our 4 week intensive course.</p>
<h4 style="font-size: 1em;">Assessment</h4>
<p>You will be required to complete a variety of assessments to gain the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification. Your tutor will guide and support you through all of the assessment activities.</p>

			  			  		      <h3>Progression &amp; Employment</h3>  
		      
				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 3 Personal Trainer with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You will be able to start working as a Personal Trainer. You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres where you can become an in-house Personal Trainer. You will be able to work with clients on a one to one basis or in small groups both inside and outside of the gym. You will be able to offer nutritional advice and also carry out health and fitness tests on your clients.</p>
<p>Working as an in-house trainer allows you receive the support of the club you are working in. They will generally supply you with a uniform and also business cards and other promotional material. In return for this, up to 50% of your income from personal training will be kept by the club.</p>
<h4>Option 2:</h4>
<p>You can set up your own business as a Personal Trainer. You will have a comprehensive plan that you will have designed to complete the Business and Marketing Skills qualification that you can follow. You will be based within a club as a freelance Personal Trainer or you will be working from your own studio. Either of these options may also include working with people in their homes, offices or local parks.</p>
<p>Personal Trainers earn in excess of &pound;30,000 per year with some trainers charging over &pound;100 per hour for their services.</p>
<p>After completing the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification you will also be able to gain more specialist qualifications such as the Level 3 GP Referral certificate.</p>

			      <h4>Online<span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 10px;">&nbsp;</span></h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 2 training days after you have completed the online material. These training days will re-cap on all of the theory you have learnt while studying on-line and provide you with an opportunity to put your practical skills into action. Your tutor will also give you valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment.</p>
<h4>Intensive</h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 5 training days before your assessment day. These training days will re-cap on the pre-course reading material you have covered and will focus heavily on the practical elements of the course. Each day will combine theory and practical elements and throughout the 5 days you will receive valuable feedback to prepare you for your assessment.</p>
<h4>Assessment</h4>
<p>You will be required to attend 1 assessment day to complete this course. On your assessment day you will sit a multiple choice theory exam in the morning and then you will take your practical assessment. You will need to submit a portfolio of evidence to support your practical assessment. Your tutor will help you prepare this on your training day.</p>

			  			  		      <h3>Progression &amp; Employment</h3>  
		      
				<p>After successfully completing this course you will be able to become a registered Level 2 Fitness Instructor with REPs. You will also have two options.</p>
<h4>Option 1:</h4>
<p>You can begin working within the industry as an Exercise to Music Instructor. You will find employment opportunities in major health club chains, large hotels and local leisure centres. A full time fitness instructor can expect to earn between &pound;12,000 - &pound;18,000 per year. You may be required to work from several centres as a freelance instructor as most clubs do not offer full time roles for Exercise to Music instructors. It may be beneficial to also complete the <a href="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/fitness-instructor/level-2-certificate-in-fitness-instructing-gym" title="Read more about the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Gym course">GYM qualification</a> to make it easier to secure full time employment.</p>
<h4>Option 2:</h4>

This course consists of 5 modules. The modules are;</p>

<p>After you have successfully completed all 5 modules you will gain the overarching <a href="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-certificate-in-personal-training" title="Read more about the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification">Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification</a>. This will allow you to begin working as a Personal Trainer.</p>
<p>You may set up your own business or work within a health club as an in-house trainer. You may decide to do a mixture of the two or even set up your own training studio. Personal Trainers earn in excess of &pound;30,000 per year with some trainers charging over &pound;100 per hour for their services.</p>
<p>After completing the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-advanced-fitness-instructing-gym" title="Read more about the Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor course">Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor</a>&nbsp;module, you will also be able to gain more specialist qualifications such as the Level 3 GP Referral certificate.</p>
<h4>REPs requirements:</h4>
<p>As a Level 2 Fitness Instructor you will be required to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points to stay registered as a Level 2 Instructor with REPs. 			      <p>This qualification is particularly aimed at Personal Trainers or Advanced Instructors who are seeking to enhance their qualifications. As the quality of the fitness industry improves, more people and medical professionals are looking to fitness professionals for advice on how exercise and activity can be implemented into daily life to improve health.</p>
<p>You will learn;</p>

<li>The signs, symptoms and basic pathology of specific stable conditions</li>
<li>The implications and effects of specific medications relating to those conditions</li>
<li>Exercise limitations and requirements in special populations</li>
<li>How to plan, deliver, manage and evaluate a safe, effective and progressive adapted physical activity program, that is personalised to the individual client&rsquo;s needs and lifestyle</li>
<li>How to develop and implement behavioral change strategies</li>
<li>How to open up communication with medical practitioners across a variety of fields</li>

<p>Once you enroll onto the course, you will receive your pre-course reading pack. This pack will contain a variety of learning resources that you will need to read through and complete before the first day of the course. You will also be given the name of your tutor so that you can contact them if you have any questions before the course starts.</p>
<h4>Prerequisites</h4>

It is advised that you also hold a&nbsp;<a href="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/courses/personal-trainer/level-3-advanced-fitness-instructing-gym" title="Read more about the Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor course">Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor</a>&nbsp;qualification although this is not a requirement.</p>	
			  
			  			  		      <h3>Course schedule</h3>
		      
			      <p>You will attend 5 days of training, delivered over three consecutive weekends, Saturday and Sunday. After the first 4 days of training you will be required to attend your assessment which will happen on the third weekend, generally the Saturday. On this assessment day you will take the assessments that your tutor has prepared you for during the course. All of the assessment requirements will be explained on the first day by your tutor. On the first day of the course you will also receive more learning materials that will support you both during the course and after you have finished.</p>
<p>In between the weekend training days, you will be able to contact your tutor to again answer any questions you may have.</p>	
			  
			  			  		      <h3>Progression &amp; Employment</h3>  
		      
				<p>After successfully completing this qualification you will be able to do a variety of things. These could include;</p>
<ul>
<li>Working within your local NHS &ndash; Exercise Referral Scheme</li>
<li>Setting up your own Exercise Referral Scheme</li>
<li>Establishing partnerships with local medical practitioners</li>
<li>Developing a one to one style training system for clients with controlled conditions or who have been referred to you by their doctor</li>

			      <p><img alt="4 CPD points" class="img-right" height="171" src="http://www.globalfitnesseducation.com/images/uploads/logo-cpd-4-reps.gif" width="174" />Olympic lifting forms an integral part of the strength and conditioning programmes of many athletes from a wide variety of sports. The Olympic lifts, along with the Squat, are movements that are excellent at improving strength, speed, acceleration, power and flexibility. Not only professional athletes such as sprinters, rugby players and swimmers can benefit from these lifts. Everybody can benefit from incorporating these lifts into their training.</p>
<p>This 1 day workshop will teach you the correct techniques of the Snatch, Clean and Jerk and the Squat. We will cover the theory behind each lift and then develop your skills as fitness coaches to be able to coach your athletes and clients to perform the lifts correctly. We will cover the full teaching sequence and you will leave with a full progression route, full of supporting exercises, to teach each lift correctly.</p>
<p>This course has been designed for fitness instructors, strength and conditioning coaches, general coaches and lifting enthusiasts.</p>
